Last week I enjoyed being able to run outside again, despite weather reports and various rumours the now did not return and my training continued. Week four was the easy week with runs staying at 30 minutes and cross training going down to twenty minutes. I cross trained once at the beginning of the week then ran the other three.
Last Sunday however was different and my favourite run by far! My dad volunteered to cycle with me and we set off on a new route around some quieter further out country roads. It was 1 hour and 15 minutes and it was fantastic. I really enjoyed it and kept an average pace of 4mins 20 seconds per km and managed to do 17.2km. I think secretly my dad was more tired than me ;).
This week has been very tiring with one 45 minute cross training followed by two 45min runs. I wanted to go on the runs and I felt energized and happy after them but I've been getting more and more tired and half term really couldn't be more welcome right now.
